Ten animals find new homes through "Pets for Vets" promotion

Temple Animal Services found forever homes for 10 furry friends during November’s “Pets for Vets” promotion, which waived adoption fees for current and former military members. 

“We are grateful to all of our veterans, reservists, and active-duty military,” Police Chief Shawn Reynolds said. This program was a great way to show our appreciation for their service while also finding much-needed homes for these animals.” 

Temple Animal Services, which is a division of the Temple Police Department, was able to place nine dogs and a cat with veteransThe community also donated eight vouchers for veterans to have their newly-adopted animals spayed or neutered. 

Though this promotion has ended, Temple Animal Services still has dozens of animals available for adoptions. The Animal shelter, located at 620 Mama Dog Circle, is currently conducting adoptions by appointment only.
