TPD honors fallen officers at Killeen Police Department's 2022 Bell County Police Memorial Ceremony
(May 10, 2022) - Officers with the Temple Police Department joined other departments Tuesday morning for the annual Bell County Police Memorial Ceremony hosted by the Killeen Police Department.
The memorial honors the men and women in Texas who have died in the line of duty.
During the event, KPD Chief Charles Kimble welcomed everyone in attendance, Killeen Mayor Debbie Nash-King made a proclamation and Bell County District Attorney Henry Garza spoke about the tragedy each department endures when one of their own passes away.
Bell County Sheriff Eddy Lange then read each name of the fallen soldiers as officers with different departments placed a red rose to represent that individual under the American flag.
Officers with Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, Belton and the Bell County Sheriff’s Department were also in attendance.
TPD thanks the Killeen Police Department for their hard work in hosting the event.
