City of Temple to host Secure Document Shred Event

TEMPLE, TX (April 12, 2024) – The City of Temple will be hosting a Secure Document Shred Event on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic High School (6608 W Adams Ave).

The City invites Temple residents who have secure documents that are in need of disposal to participate in this Secure Document Shred Event. Residents can bring up to five bankers boxes of documents that contain information such as personal identification numbers, financial records, and other confidential data to be shredded.

Secure document shredding ensures that sensitive information is disposed of properly and destroyed beyond recognition. This can help prevent criminals from stealing identities and misusing personal information.

Shredding documents not only has personal benefits, but also has positive environmental impacts as well. Recycling paper promotes sustainability by reducing waste and minimizing the need for new paper production. New products can also be manufactured from recycled materials, such as old paper documents, which lessens dependence on limited natural resources.
