Public Hearing to be held on MicroTransit Zone Implementation

TEMPLE, TX (March 14, 2024) - The Hill Country Transit District (HCTD) is hosting a series of public hearings throughout Bell County, and Temple's meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 15.

Event: Public Hearing on MicroTransit Zone Implementation
Date: Friday, March 15th, 2024
Time: 4:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Location: Temple Public Library, located at 100 W. Adams Ave., Temple, TX

The purpose of this hearing is to gather public comments on the proposed options for implementing MicroTransit Zones in the area. These zones are expected to revolutionize transportation accessibility for Temple residents. However, it's imperative that the community's voice is heard and considered in this decision-making process.

Of particular importance is the impact on ADA Complementary Paratransit Service, which will be affected by the proposed options. It's crucial that individuals who rely on these services have the opportunity to provide feedback and express any concerns they may have.

It's worth noting that Medicaid transportation services will not be affected by these changes.

The proposed effective date for these changes is May 2024.

A copy of the proposed options for route changes will be made available at the public hearing, providing attendees with the necessary information to make informed contributions to the dialogue.
