City of Temple announces Election cancellation, congratulates Mayor Timothy A. Davis on another term
election previously scheduled for May 4, 2024, in accordance with Section 2.053(a) of
the Texas Election Code.
The election will be canceled as a result of the certification of Timothy A. Davis as the
only candidate for the position of Mayor. This decision aligns with the provisions of the
Texas Election Code, allowing for the cancellation of an election when a candidate is
certified as unopposed.
The City of Temple takes this opportunity to extend its congratulations to Timothy A.
Davis for being certified as unopposed, solidifying his election as Mayor. Mayor Timothy
A. Davis has demonstrated a commitment to public service, and the City of Temple
