City of Temple Proclaims February 24 as Government Communicators Day

TEMPLE, TX (February 16, 2024) - City of Temple Mayor Tim Davis issued a Proclamation at the February 15, 2024 Council Meeting to proclaim February 24, 2024 as Government Communicators Day. 

Government Communicators Day is a day dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the invaluable contributions of public communicators across the nation. 

The City of Temple Communications and Marketing Department received the Proclamation Thursday and introduced the communicators in attendance, which included personnel from the Communications and Public Relations Division, Marketing and Digital Media Division, Destination Marketing Division, and Creative Services. 

"This day honors the dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to bridge the gap between government institutions and the communities they serve," said Communications and Marketing Director Heather Bates. "This day not only celebrates the vital role of effective communication in governance but also highlights the dedication and innovation of our city's communicators in fostering transparency, engagement, and trust within our community."

This special day falls on February 24, 2024, and serves as an opportunity to spotlight the tireless efforts of government communicators who work diligently behind the scenes.
