City of Temple Offers Free Christmas Tree Recycling

TEMPLE, TX (December 19, 2023) - The City of Temple is offering free live Christmas tree recycling from Tuesday, December 26 through Monday, January 8. Trees can be dropped off anytime at one of two locations - 3015 Bullseye Lane or 602 Baskins Drive. 

Live trees will only be accepted if they have been stripped of all ornaments and decorations. If you can't make it to a drop-off location, trees can also be taken to the Solid Waste Complex, located at 2611 E. Ave. H, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Around 25 to 30 million real Christmas trees are sold in the United States every year.  Recycling your tree helps lessen the impact of Christmas tree harvesting on the environment and can help contribute to keeping our community healthy and thriving.
