City of Temple Hosts Veterans Day Ceremony

TEMPLE, TX (November 9, 2023) – The City of Temple hosted the second annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 9 to recognize and honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. 

The ceremony featured a performance from the TISD Choir, remarks from city officials, a presentation of colors from the Fort Cavazos Color Guard, and a keynote address from Colonel Tracy Michael, Commander of the 1st Medical Brigade at Fort Cavazos. 

“This event is an opportunity for us to come together as a city and show our unwavering support and appreciation,” said Nohely Mackowiak, City of Temple Communications and PR Division Director. “We extend our thanks to everyone who joined us in tribute to these heroes and celebrate their remarkable service to our country.”
