Christmas Tree Recycling

The City of Temple is offering free tree recycling from December 26 to January 8. Trees can be dropped off at 3015 Bullseye Lane or 602 Jack Baskins Drive. The recycle centers are open 24/7.

People can also leave their trees out for bulk and brush pickup if they cannot make it to one of the two drop off areas.

This is a way to continue helping our environment stay healthy and thrive. Once the holiday season is over, most people dispose of their live trees. Recycling them can help for future projects in an environmentally friendly way. This year, the city will only accept live trees that have been stripped of all ornaments to be recycled.

The City of Temple will also be collecting used cooking oil from December 22 through January 2 at participating Fire Stations:
Central Fire Station, 210 N. 3rd St.
Fire Station #3, 3606 Midway Dr.
Fire Station #4, 411 Waters Dairy Road
Fire Station #7, 8420 W. Adams Ave.

Oil must be in a closed container. Drop-off times are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All Solid Waste collections will be on regular schedule this holiday season. For more information, click here.
