City of Temple Shares Eclipse Viewing Reminders with Visitors

Hello City of Temple visitors! Thank you for joining us for the Total Solar Eclipse happening on April 8th. We are happy you are here but please be aware of the following while visiting our great city:

📢 Outdoor warning siren testing will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 11AM and last 3 minutes. This is a test… please do not panic!

👀 Remember to view the eclipse from a safe location. Please refrain from stopping on the side of the road to observe the eclipse. Many events are being hosted around the area for the eclipse which you can find at bellcountyeclipse.com

☎️ Cell phone service may be spotty due to the influx in population to our area. In case of emergencies, dial 911. For non-emergency calls, dial 254-298-5500. If you experience loss of cell service, text your emergency to 911 or call from a landline. Don’t forget to sign up to receive Alert Temple emergency notifications on your phone, text "alerttemple" to 99411 and you will receive local alerts and location specific weather warnings!
