Responsible for support of the City's Financial applications which include General Ledger, Accounts, Receivables, Accounts Payables, Utility Billing, Human Resources, Payroll, Municipal Court, Code Enforcement, Business Licenses, Permitting, Inspections, Purchasing and many other financial related applications. Responsible for support of General Government applications which include Animal Control, Parks & Recreation, Parks Maintenance, Work Orders, Document Management, Public Works, Library, and many other related applications..
Responsible for support of the City's Police and Fire applications which include Police Records Management, Fire Records Management, Incidents, Automated Citation writers, I-Mobile, Crime Analysis and many other public safety related applications.
Provides support at the highest level on the overall health of the network, server/switch deployment, security, ensuring network connectivity throughout the cities network infrastructure.
Supports all employees in the City to ensure that those employees get the highest availability of network uptime and services. This includes monitoring and answering alarms of network equipment, disaster recovery and providing network routing/authentication.
Responsible for the overall network security of the City's network infrastructure. This includes security monitoring, intrusion detection, implementing firewalls, virus protection, email security, network analysis and physical security processes. Perform constant network monitoring, testing and analysis. Ensure the latest upgrades, updates and software patches to network hardware. Provide predictive failure, performance and port monitoring.
Infrastructure
The City of Temple network encompasses over 60 facilities across the City. The facilities, in City Hall, Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks, Library, Airport, Water Tanks and Pumping Stations among many others using Fiber and Wireless technology.
Information Technology is responsible for supporting an advanced wireless network that encompasses over 70 square miles. The wireless network includes approximately 300 cameras and wireless devices across the city that support video surveillance, intrusion detection, and network connectivity functions.
Management and Monitoring of wireless network and a city-wide wireless backhaul network. Provide wireless security, intrusion detection, encrypt wireless signals, and manage wireless spectrum.
Responsible for support, maintenance and management of all City Computing Servers and Databases to support the delivery of applications to City employees and citizens.
Ensure the highest available uptime for all servers that support critical applications. Ensure systems are updated, patched and monitored to create a healthy data center environment.
Responsible for the maintenance, design, analysis, optimization, modeling, replication, management, security, monitoring and disaster recovery of all Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server databases.

Responsible for support of over 700 Voice over IP (VOIP) and digital phones across 40 locations to ensure the highest level of phone service available through diagnostics, line testing, cabling, splicing and service.
Responsible for Maintenance and management of the Shoretel, Shoretel Branch Offices PBX's, Unified messaging, voice call recording, converged voice/data, call accounting, analog and T-1 lines.
