Wastewater Treatment

The City of Temple is served by two wastewater treatment facilities. Wastewater is comprised of used water and wastes disposed of through plumbing fixtures from homes, industries and commercial establishments. Approximately 0.1% of wastewater received by a treatment facility is waste that needs to be treated to keep the community and environment safe.

Temple-Belton Wastewater Treatment PlantThe City of Temple, jointly with the City of Belton, provides funding for the operation of the Temple-Belton Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is accomplished through a contract with the Brazos River Authority.
