PetWaste

Pet Waste & Water Quality IssuePet waste contains two main types of pollutants that harm local waters: nutrients and pathogens. After the waste ends up in our waterways, it decomposes, releasing nutrients that cause excessive growth of algae and weeds.  This makes the water green, murky, smelly. As the waste in the water increases, bacteria levels can cause gastrointestinal problems and skin reactions, making the water unsafe for swimming and other activities.
How you can Help our water quality:Take a plastic bag or pooper scooper on your next walk
Put it in the trash, Bury it in your yard, Flush it down the toilet (without the bag)
