Patrol
The Patrol division carries out the primary functions of the police department: Protecting, Serving, and Working, in Partnership with Our Community, to Prevent, Reduce, and Solve Crime with Integrity, Honor, and Dedication. Temple PD patrol officers work tirelessly day and night to keep the city safe and improve the quality of life for our community. They are the first to respond to a number of emergency situations, often times putting their own lives on the line.
Currently, most of patrol is working 12-hour shifts. We have also made adjustments to our staffing by creating a 10-hour evening shift that covers the busiest times of the day.
