Temple Animal Services offers free adoptions for veterans

Temple, TX (Nov. 10, 2020) -- Temple Animal Services is offering free pet adoptions for veterans through November and the Temple community can also assist veterans with bringing home their new companions.
 
In recognition of Veteran’s Day, adoption fees for veterans will be waived. Adoptions are currently available by appointment only at the Temple Animal Shelter, 620 Mama Dog Circle. Call 254-298-5732 to schedule an appointment.
 
Because adopters are still required to have animals spayed or neutered and vaccinated for rabies at their own cost, residents can assist a veteran by purchasing spay or neuter vouchers for them. Spay and neuter vouchers cost $65 and $55 respectively. Contact the shelter for more information about how to donate a voucher. A limited number of spay or neuter vouchers are available.
