Communications & Marketing Department Receives Multiple Awards at TAMIO Conference

TEMPLE, TX (June 10, 2024) - The City of Temple is excited to share that the Communications and Marketing Department brought home multiple awards from the TAMIO (Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers) conference in San Antonio, TX.

This year, the conference saw a record-breaking number of entries, and the City of Temple received nominations for four prestigious categories. Two of the four nominations were named first place.

The first-place awards include:
Internal Communications: The department's New Employee Welcome Packet was awarded first place for its outstanding design and effectiveness. This comprehensive guide has been essential in helping new employees integrate smoothly into the workforce, ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and ready to contribute to the city's success.

City E-Newsletter Redesign: The redesigned City E-Newsletter also secured first place, recognizing the innovative approach to keeping residents informed. The new design has made the newsletter more accessible and engaging, significantly improving readership and community connection.

In addition to these top honors, Temple received further recognition with two additional awards:

Award of Excellence: The Multi-Cultural Communications Plan earned this distinction for its strategic and inclusive approach. This plan has played a crucial role in promoting understanding and unity within Temple's diverse community, helping to foster a more connected and harmonious city.

Award of Honor: The Summer Reading Guide was honored for its creative and engaging content. This guide has inspired a love of reading and learning among residents, becoming a valuable resource for families and individuals and enriching the educational and cultural life of Temple.
