New Capital Improvement Projects to Begin Construction

Azalea Drive Closure
Site work begins Monday, April 24, and will result in the closure of Azalea Drive from S. 31 Street to south of the Temple Mall.

Improvements will include road realignment, landscaping, and signalization.

Poison Oak Road Closure
In partnership with Belton ISD, Phase One of the Poison Oak Road Realignment project will begin Monday, April 24 as well. The road will be closed from SH 317 to east of Charter Oak Elementary School.

Improvements will include widening the current 20-foot pavement section to a four-lane roadway with a raised median, a 10-foot sidewalk, drainage conveyance, utilities, signals at the SH 317 intersection, street lighting, and landscaping.
