Halloween Happenings in Temple

This October, the City of Temple invites the community to celebrate Halloween with us! Check out the list of events below and find all the happenings to make this a spook-tacular season.

  • Join us at the 9th Annual Haunted Hayride on Saturday, October 21. Hayrides will be offered from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rueben D. Talasek Bend of the River. Climb aboard and take a tour with spooky scenes and creepy characters. All ages are welcome. Tickets must be purchased in advance.   • This Halloween season, there’s a spooky mystery to be solved. On Thursday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m., you are invited to the Halloween escape room at the Temple Public Library. Complete tasks and puzzles to solve the mystery. Registration is required for this event. Call 254-298-5702 to register and to find more information.
  • Celebrate Halloween at Fright Fest "Creep Thru" on Monday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Santa Fe Plaza. Enjoy an evening of safe trick-or-treating, costume contest prize patrol and a breathtaking fire dancer show. This event is free to the public. Visit templeparks.com for more information.
  • On Monday, October 31, stop by the Temple Public Library for Trick-or-Read from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Enjoy a full day of crafts, activities and costumes. The first floor will feature activities for ages 17 and younger, while the second floor will include spooky activities for ages 18 and older. This is a free event and costumes are highly encouraged.
