City of Temple hosts Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

This City of Temple hosted a Hispanic Heritage Month event to celebrate and explore how the Hispanic culture has impacted our community, and honor local Hispanic leaders and residents.

Hispanic heritage is weaved into the fabric of Temple with its rich colors, flavors, culture, history, traditions and music. President Lyndon Johnson dedicated Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968; 20 years later in 1988, President Ronald Reagan converted the celebration into Hispanic Heritage Month.

Thank you to those that attended, and to our community that continues to acknowledge and appreciate the influence of this heritage on our community and our country.
