City of Temple dedicates Market Loop Mural to McLane Children's Hospital

The City of Temple officially dedicated the Market Loop Mural to the McLane Children’s Hospital on Friday, July 8.

The City of Temple received over 200 art submissions from children in the community. After selecting 45 submissions, volunteer artists replicated the artwork on the 45-panel mural located along the main thoroughfare to the McLane Children’s Hospital from 31st St. The purpose of the mural is to provide distraction and lift the spirits of youth patients who are on their way to the hospital.   The volunteer artists and youth artists that created the mural were thrilled to be in attendance to recognize each completed design submitted by the youth of Temple.

Mayor Tim Davis was also in attendance to provide an address of pride and recognition during the ceremony. For more information or to view the original designs, please visit templetx.gov/mural.
