Residential garbage is collected once per week, except for during the
Holiday Schedule. Collections will occur on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, depending on your location.
Residents are serviced by either a 96-gallon container with wheels that will roll to the front curb or they are serviced by a 300-gallon container that is placed in the alley behind their house.
All residential garbage should be placed for collection by 7:00 AM on collection days. Residents with 96-gallon roll-out containers will place the container with the wheels next to the curb, with the lid opening toward the street. Containers must be removed from the curb by 8:00 PM.
Alley service containers are set at property lines in the alley and shared by three (3) to four (4) homes. Customers should use the container closest to their property lines. Please be considerate of your neighbors sharing the container. Residents should keep alleys clear of debris by placing garbage firmly into the alley container itself.
Bulky items, boxes, brush, and tree trimmings should be placed at the front curb for brush and bulk item collection. However, do not place items out for pick up more than 6 days prior to your collection day.
Effective October 1, 2022, the monthly rate for residential service is $20.75 plus tax per month. This fee is included in your monthly water utility bill.
