A brand has been described as “what other people say about you when you’re not in the room” or “how you leave people feeling.”
Our brand is far more than a logo, mark, or symbol - our brand is our reputation. Our brand is something that develops over time and is shaped by all the little experiences and encounters people have with our organization. Your brand is what customers feel in their gut when they see your name, logo, or packaging. A brand experience is a whole package. Everything from the way we speak to customers, to our advertising campaigns, to our signage and our website, helps to create the brand experience.
We must ensure that all elements – from our logo, typography, and colors to our staff uniforms and gear, signage, social media, billboards, web design, letterhead, and publications – are consistent with the same brand message. That’s why we have brand standards. Every successful organization needs them, and every successful organization manages them appropriately. Brand Standards help ensure that all efforts are focused on building momentum. Our Brand Guidelines serve as a valuable road map on how best to present the City of Temple, our people, and our programs consistently across all channels.
The City of Temple Brand Standards encompasses the City of Temple Logos, Signatures, and Colors, that identify, represent, and symbolize the organization. These elements may only be used according to the guidelines provided or by permission of the Communications & Marketing Department.
The City's Brand Standards are simple to grasp, easy to follow, and help ensure that City staff are all pulling in the same direction.
The City of Temple’s Brand Guidelines provide step-by-step rules and regulations governing the proper design, use, reproduction, and applications of the City of Temple Brand in most of its iterations across a variety of mediums. The Brand Guidelines outline color and design options, font selection, and tips on how to enhance design while maximizing the brand.
Note: The use of any City logo by non-city entities must be approved by the City of Temple. Please contact the Communications & Marketing Department to request usage of the logo.
