Track your fitness and get rewarded for it! Log your daily physical activity to obtain points to claim some fantastic prizes.
Fit 'n Free
To encourage physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, City employees can earn a FREE membership to the Summit Recreation Center and/or the Wilson Recreation Center, as well as a cash incentive! Employees must comply with the rules of the Fit n’ Free program to be eligible for ongoing membership.
Attendance will be calculated twice a year.
o October 1 – March 31
o April 1 – September 30
Weight Watchers
Weight loss is really hard, and it's even harder to do it alone. Weight Watchers is dedicated to helping you lose weight.
City of Temple employees receive a $10 reimbursement per month (reimbursed quarterly). Employees must simply provide proof of payment to the Wellness Coordinator.

The 7% Challenge
This weight loss program encourages employees to lose at least 7% of total body weight to jumpstart a healthy lifestyle and ongoing weight loss. If a participant signs up and loses at least 7% of body weight by the goal date, the employee will be awarded a prize valued at $100 and will be put in a drawing for a larger prize ($250) at the end of the fiscal year.
Holiday Hold Off
This program focuses on avoiding weight gain during the holidays through physical activity and education. Participating employees must weigh in with the Wellness Coordinator to begin and weigh out at the conclusion of the program. If the participant is at or below the beginning weight, they will receive a prize ($25 value) and be entered into a lottery prize drawing.
- Beginning - November (must weigh in by November 13th to qualify)
- Conclusion - January (must weigh in by January 15th to qualify)
Shake the Sugar!
Diabetics and pre-diabetics can be referred to a diabetes self-management program at Scott & White by their primary care physician. For details click here website or call 254-215-0369.
Employees covered by the City's Health Plan can participate in this program at no charge!
Quit It
Employees can be reimbursed up to 50% of the cost of Tobacco Cessation Products if they receive a doctor's certification they have been tobacco-free for a minimum of 6 months.
