The City of Temple hosts the Draughon-Miller 75th Anniversary Airshow!

Airplane enthusiasts from all around central Texas will witness aerial feats executed by industry experts. The family-friendly event features numerous aircraft models both old and new.  This event will be hosted to honor the 75th anniversary of the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport and the brave men it was named after. The event will feature food trucks, vendor booths, helicopter rides, kid zone, airplane static displays and live aeronautical performances.  

Date: Saturday, May 13, 2023
Time of Event: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Parking gates open at 8:00 AM)
Location: Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport, 7720 Airport Road, Temple, TX 76502

We have carefully considered our options and have decided to move forward rain or shine on Saturday, May 13th. The Kid Zone, Helicopter Rides, Vendor Booths, Food Trucks, and Static Display activities will be in full swing at the event. Aerial performances are currently on the schedule to take place but are subject to change to ensure the safety of all pilots and event attendees.

Tips to prepare for the event:
  • Wear a raincoat and/or rain boots (let’s be real, it’s Texas, throw on those waders)
  • Bring a personal umbrella (shade structures are not allowed - visit the event FAQ for more information on allowed and prohibited items)
