Permits & Licenses

On February 1, 2024, the Temple City Council approved Resolution 2024-0038-R repealing fixed food establishment municipal registration and permit fees collected by the City of Temple.   Pursuant to SB 577 effective September 1, 2023, Council also repealed Chapter 4, Sections 4-11 of the City of Temple Code of Ordinances, regarding municipal registration and fees collected for Alcohol Permits issued by the City of Temple.

We will continue to sign off on TABC applications; however, the City of Temple no longer requires and/or issues Food Dealer’s Permits for fixed food establishments or Alcohol Permits for premises permitted or licensed by TABC.

Please visit  Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for information regarding alcohol licenses or permits or Bell County Public Health District for  information regarding retail food permits.

The City Secretary’s Office is responsible for the issuance of the following permits and licenses within the City of Temple.  View helpful resources (PDF) for new businesses.
