  2. Special Coffee Reception Honors Veterans with Exhibit

    November 30, 10:30 AM @ The Cultural Activities Center

    The Cultural Activities Center (CAC) invites the public to a free coffee reception at 10:30am on Monday, November 30, to honor veterans who have artwork on display in the upstairs gallery. The exhibit, titled Veterans on the Up, includes works made during CAC art therapy classes, uniforms and medals, and works by veterans who are artists. Refreshments from veteran-owned Bite the Bagel Café in Killeen will be served, and Retired Lt. Col. Michael Jackson will give a talk.

  1. Sweatin' with the Oldies

    November 30, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ 2220 W. Avenue D

    Start the day off right--get moving to some great oldies tunes! Join "KP" as she leads this popular exercise session designed especially for those who have mobility issues or difficulty standing while exercising. Slow stretches and comfortable balance exercise, seated and in contact with a chair, will help tone and strengthen muscles to increase mobility and flexibility. Adaptable for those with physical limitations.

  2. Tai Chi for Better Health

    November 30, 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM @ 2220 W. Avenue D

    Enhance wellness of mind and body; this ancient Chinese exercise promotes vitality, balance, strength and longevity. Using special breathing techniques and slow, precise physical movements, Tai Chi can help curtail arthritis, respiratory disease and high blood pressure, This course is adaptable for all levels of mobility. Led by Scott Worsham who has been practicing Tai Chi for over 25 years.

    Learn to step, dance, and sing! Have fun and gain self-discipline as you learn to volunteer for your community by performing at public events, nursing home visits, and parades

    Join in for a terrific time at Tiny Tumblers! Participants will jump, flip, and learn the basic movements of gymnastics. This class is designed to develop movement, flexibility, coordination and creativity using developmentally appropriate activities for beginner students.

  3. Eagle Martial Arts: Youth Tae Kwon Do

    Tae Kwon Do is an ancient Martial Art that originated in Korea and is more than merely a physical activity. Tae Kwon Do for youth increases attention span, builds confidence, creates discipline, and develops respect and leadership skills. This is a 6-week, 12-class session.
